Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team at Kampala International Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Perform financial analysis and provide recommendations to management
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Professional certification in accounting (CPA or ACCA)
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations in Uganda
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
• Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
