Deputy Registrar General

The Deputy Registrar General, Mr. Alex Anganya, addressed members of the Uganda Reproduction Rights Organisation during their Annual General Meeting on December 10, 2025, stressing the critical importance of corporate governance and transparency.

“Don’t underplay the importance of the Annual General Meeting. This is where you hold the directors accountable,” Mr. Anganya told attendees, emphasising that the meeting provides a platform for members to vote on key issues and review auditors’ reports.

Mr. Anganya encouraged members who haven’t completed their registration process to do so promptly and urged verification that all membership documentation is properly recorded. “It’s a full legal requirement that organisations have AGMs so that you have an organisation that’s transparent. That’s what we want as a regulator,” he explained.

The Deputy Registrar General expressed satisfaction that URRO operates with established uniformities and called on members to maintain constructive engagement. He appreciated the leadership’s progress despite facing challenges.

“URSB remains committed to supporting the Uganda Reproduction Rights Organisation,” he concluded, reiterating the regulatory body’s dedication to strengthening member organisations through proper governance structures.
