ELECTRICIAN CRAFTSMEN

Job Description

Good Time Steel Company Zambia Limited, a leading manufacturing company, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Electrician Craftsmen. To carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in order to ensure efficient and continuous plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out timely repairs.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Assist in minimizing downtime by responding promptly to breakdowns.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed.

Minimum Requirements

• Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2–3 years relevant work experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.
• Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) will be an added advantage.
