About the job
You will oversee and refine HR processes, ensuring compliance, effective employee management, and alignment with company objectives. You will focus on employee orientation, benefits administration, compensation, rewards, conflict resolution, and systems improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, refine, and execute employee standards and procedures using HR systems and processes.
- Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expenses, vacation, and other personnel packages.
- Assist with recruitment and prepare employees for assignments through orientation and training programs.
- Ensure legal compliance with labor laws and HR regulations.
- Identify and recommend improvements to internal SOPs, team structure, and employee morale.
- Support departments in developing and delivering strategic HR plans aligned with business goals.
- Schedule management conferences, resolve employee grievances, coach managers, and counsel employees.
- Ensure onboarding is high-quality, providing clarity and connection for employees regarding their roles and the company vision.
- Prepare, update, and recommend HR policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers.
- Handle confidential matters with discretion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field; Master’s is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar HR management role.
- Extensive knowledge of HR policies, systems, and labor laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Fluency in English, French, and local languages (e.g., Luganda).
