To deliver high-quality teaching, research, and academic service in Economics, contributing to the University’s mission of academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Economics, Development Economics, or a closely related field (PhD is an added advantage)
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Quantitative Economics, Applied Economics, or related field
  • Evidence of research and publications in recognized academic journals
  • At least two (2) years’ teaching experience at a recognized institution of higher learning
  • Demonstrated ability to use e-learning platforms and digital teaching tools
  • Professional qualifications in Economics or related disciplines will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lectures in Economics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Develop, review, and update course content in line with University and NCHE standards
  • Conduct research and publish in reputable academic journals
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and dissertations
  • Participate in curriculum development and academic planning
  • Engage in community outreach and professional engagement activities
  • Contribute to departmental and University administrative duties
  • Utilize e-learning platforms and digital tools to support teaching and learning
