DRC Uganda is currently looking for a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Protection Officer-Distribution. The Distribution Officer, under the management and supervision of the Protection Team Leader will be responsible for implementing Core Relief Items (CRI) distribution to the persons of concern in Imvepi refugee settlement.

Requirements

  • A minimum of four (4) years’ experience working with vulnerable communities, basic needs, protection and Non-Food Items (NFI) distribution programming experience, and/or advocacy programs
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social sciences, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce or any related field
  • Experience in distribution and protection interventions in line with Refugees operation with Persons with Specific Needs (PSN) assistance
  • Experience of working with UN or Non‐Governmental organizations
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • Good self-organization and basic management skills
  • Familiarity with Monitoring & Evaluation for UN-funded projects

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the local languages spoken by South Sudanese and Congolese refugees communities

Terms of Contract

Contract length: 5 months, Band: NM H2, Designation of Duty Station: Imvepi, Start date: May 2026
