Manage the day-to-day operations of site warehouse activities, ensure compliance with SOPs, accountability of stocks therein, meeting site GM target, liaison with other departments and customer relationship management.
Responsibilities
- Forecast and plan dispatch schedules to achieve On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery
- Implement sound operational procedures to optimize the GM
- Prepare periodic reports and submit to management
- Maintain good relations with the Client and address their issues amicably
- Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures
- Coordinate and control the order cycle
- Analyze data to monitor performance, forecast demand and plan improvements
- Hold daily operation review meetings with the team to have full visibility of truck position (loading, offloading, order release status etc.)
- Liaise closely with the client to ensure release of trucks (ECTS)to various routes
- Liaise closely with Finance on collection of outstanding balances
- Proactively check on potential or actual shipment failures and agree on a solution that will achieve customer satisfaction.
- Proactively contact the Client when service issues may affect delivery commitments, understand their needs to recommend an appropriate solution in a timely manner.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Transport & Logistics / Supply Chain / Operations / Business Management or related disciplines
- 5 years of professional experience in warehousing, base management, Inventory / Stock Control, ICD Management, Distribution or a similar role.
