Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Staff Nurse to join our team in Mityana, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with the clinical team to ensure the delivery of excellent patient outcomes, and contributing to the development of the nursing department.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
- At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to travel to other locations as required.
- Fluency in English and Luganda languages.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the nursing department.
