Job Description

Under the guidance and supervision of the Evaluation Manager, the Young and Emerging Evaluator is expected to perform a variety of tasks as described in the guidance note on meaningfully engaging youth in evaluations. These include:

  • Support the Evaluation Manager in completing key tasks involving drafting notes, data management, desk review of relevant documents, communication with the key stakeholders, organizing meetings and organizing logistics related to the implementation of CPE activities.
  • Support the preparation of PowerPoint presentations, graphs, tables and diagrams.
  • Support data collection in the field.
  • Contribute to data analysis.
  • Support key dissemination activities of evaluation results (e.g., presentation of the results evaluation to key stakeholders.

The YEE will support the Population and Development (P&D) Unit with the following core data synthesis and reporting activities:

  • Support the P&D Unit in advancing data driven programming through support research activities, strengthening data quality assurance processes and synthesizing evidence into UNFPA-aligned analytical outputs.
  • Support programme implementation through deliverable tracking and systematic follow-up to ensure timely execution of P&D activities.
  • Support data collection, validation, trend analysis and the development of evidence-based reports for policy and programme action.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
