Omia Agribusiness Development Group Ltd is committed to ensuring that every farmer has access to genuine, quality, and affordable agricultural inputs, technical support, and reliable markets. The Opportunity invites recent graduates to join the Animal Health & Nutrition Volunteer Program (Graduate Trainee Program) across Arua, Adjumani, Kiryandongo, Nwoya, and Obongi. This program provides hands‑on field experience, mentorship, supervised learning, and exposure to real agribusiness operations while working directly with farmers and rural communities.
What will you do?
- Support mobilization and engagement of farmers in groups and individual farmer networks.
- Assist in delivering livestock extension services and farmer trainings on animal health and nutrition.
- Participate in field demonstrations, farm visits, and farmer learning activities.
- Support livestock farmers with basic advisory and technical guidance under supervision.
- Collect and report field data using digital tools and reporting systems.
- Support farmer linkage to livestock inputs, services, and markets.
- Represent Omia Agribusiness professionally at community level.
Who should apply?
- Recent graduates with certificate and diploma qualifications in Animal Production, Veterinary-related fields, Agriculture, or related disciplines.
- UVB certificate is an added advantage.
- Passion for agriculture, livestock production, and community impact.
- Willingness to work within rural farming communities and assigned field locations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic digital literacy, including smartphone usage and digital data collection.
- Ability to speak one or more local languages such as Lugbara, Luo, or Madi is an added advantage.
