Job Description

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening departmental leadership, refining operational systems, and fostering a high-performance team culture, while ensuring seamless lodge operations in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and oversee all operational departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, and Guides.
  • Deliver a consistently high-quality guest experience through personal hosting and service oversight.
  • Mentor and guide departmental Heads, ensuring accountability, communication, and professional standards are maintained.
  • Assist the General Manager in streamlining operational logistics, procurement, stock control, and cost management.
  • Oversee daily lodge operations and staff discipline in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on operational planning, budgeting, and reporting.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality or lodge management.
  • Strong background in guest relations and operations management.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams of 20+ staff.
  • Solid understanding of lodge logistics, stock control, and operational systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in safari lodges or remote hospitality environments is highly preferred.
