The Associate Software Engineer (Java Programmer) supports Neptune's enterprise and mobile development initiatives by designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. The role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals passionate about building scalable applications, APIs, and mobile solutions within a collaborative engineering environment.

Role Overview

The Associate Software Engineer contributes to the full software development lifecycle, working closely with senior engineers to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance applications. They participate in backend development, mobile application development, API integration, and production support while continuously learning and adopting modern technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services
• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter

Software Development Lifecycle

• Participate in SDLC activities including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions

Integration & Performance

• Integrate applications with databases, third-party systems, and payment platforms
• Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance software solutions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects

Continuous Improvement

• Support software deployment and production issue resolution
• Research and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields

Experience

• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of software development experience
