DUTY STATION: Kapeeka-Semuto Road, Sanga, Wakiso
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Formulation and Quality Control Chemist will play a critical dual role of developing innovative personal care and home care formulations while ensuring all products meet the highest quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform complete review, verification, and validation for raw materials and products to ensure conformity to mandatory standards and fitness for use
- Work with the production team to ensure consistency in product quality
- Monitor production processes and carry out basic testing and quality checks
- Lead the development of new and innovative products
- Accurately maintain quality and R&D records
- Coordinate and oversee UNBS product certification processes
- Review and sign off specifications
- Any other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- BSC Industrial Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or other related field from a reputable university
- Minimum of three (03) years of working experience in a similar manufacturing company as a Quality Controller, Production Technician, or R&D Officer.
