We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused General Assistant to join our catering team at a busy corporate client site. The successful candidate will support daily food service operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while delivering excellent customer service. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation and serving of meals.
• Set up and replenish food counters and beverage stations.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, dining areas, equipment, and workstations.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Receive, unpack, and store stock according to company procedures.
• Assist with stock rotation and minimize wastage.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
• Support catering functions, meetings, and special events as required.
• Deliver professional and friendly customer service at all times.

Skills and Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts when required.
• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, corporate dining, or food service environment will be advantageous.
