This role will be based at our Pretoria Bakery in Pretoria West and will report to the Stores Supervisor. The successful candidate will need to perform a combination of cleaning, picking and packing activities in the packaging and ingredients store.

Minimum Requirements:
Matric or equivalent. Forklift license an advantage. Developed reading, listening and communication skills. Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Operations Execution Unload inbound stock safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store the stock in the appropriate areas. Ensure inbound and outbound stock are accurate and free of damage and report quality variances. Pull and prepare stock for release, ensuring that the exact number and type of stock is loaded and despatched. Efficiently move stock from storage areas into despatch vehicles. Load, unload, move and stack stock and materials using a forklift. Maintain the store’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion and on a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods. Assist in physical stock counts and ensure proper stock rotation. Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required. Safety and Security Assist in maintaining the security of the store. Safeguard the stock in the stores at all times against loss and damage. Comply with applicable company policies including those pertaining, but not limited to health, safety, environment, risk and quality, including HACCP/ISO. Conduct housekeeping in accordance with standard operating procedures. Effective Teamwork and Self-Management Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritising, and self-development. Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained. Inform relevant parties in the event of tasks or deadlines not met, the potential risks thereof and provide appropriate resolution. Manage colleagues’ expectations and communicate appropriately.
