About the Role
The BRMM 2026–2027 project aims to strengthen safe employment and labour migration systems for Ugandans and other populations in the East and Horn of Africa (EHOA), including along key migration corridors to Gulf countries such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar. It addresses persistent gaps in employment services, entrepreneurship support, and structured migration pathways, while enhancing protection for migrant workers through improved job matching, orientation, and reintegration systems.
Key Duties
- Producing high-quality, user-friendly orientation and Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials
- Developing standardized orientation guides and handbooks
- Conducting stakeholder validation
- Piloting the materials in both countries of origin and destination
Responsibilities
- Producing high-quality, user-friendly orientation and IEC materials, including graphic design, digitization, and adaptation of print-based materials into digital formats
- Working closely with IOM Uganda and other stakeholders to ensure that the materials meet the project's requirements and are accessible to diverse audiences
Requirements
- A strong background in graphic design, with experience in designing training materials, toolkits, and handbooks
- A proven track record of adapting, digitizing, and transforming print-based IEC materials into user-friendly digital formats that are accessible, engaging, and easy to navigate
- A strong understanding of migration, protection, and community-based programming, as well as experience aligning with IOM or UN branding standards
- Fluency in English and proficiency in other languages as required
