Job Description

The overall objective of this assignment is to conduct preliminary technical, operational, market, and financial pre-feasibility assessments for pellet and briquette value chains in Uganda and develop profile documents to support future programme development, detailed feasibility studies, and sector planning initiatives. The assignment will assess feedstock availability, production systems, market demand, supply chains, operational considerations, indicative investment requirements, and enabling conditions relevant to pellet and briquette value chains in Uganda. The consultancy will further identify key barriers, opportunities, sustainability considerations, and practical intervention areas that may support future scale-up of cleaner biomass fuel solutions.
