Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our water and sewerage infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on water and sewerage infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in water and sewerage systems
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on water and sewerage equipment
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that all work is completed on time and to a high standard
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driving license
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment
