Job Summary

National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) is a leading water and sewerage service provider in Uganda. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances in our water treatment plants, pumping stations, and other facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and inspecting pipes, fixtures, and appliances
  • Troubleshoot and repair leaks, blockages, and other plumbing issues
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operation of water treatment plants and pumping stations
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Diploma in Plumbing or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in plumbing
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to speak and write in English
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
