We are on the lookout for a Sourcing Analyst to join our Group Services Division. The role will be based in Westville and report to the Sourcing Manager. We are looking for a confident individual who has strong analytical and negotiation skills. The successful candidate will support sourcing strategy execution through data analysis, market insights, supplier negotiations, and contract management. This role is ideal for an analytical professional who can translate complex data into commercial value and drive sourcing opportunities from concept through to implementation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Commerce, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Data Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Development, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years' relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or a related commercial environment.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to convert data into actionable commercial recommendations.
  • Experience using MS Office and data analysis tools; Power BI experience will be advantageous.
  • Exposure to supplier negotiations and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, resilience, and negotiation capability.
  • Valid Code EB driver's licence.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Support
    • Support the development and execution of category sourcing strategies by conducting spend analysis, evaluating sourcing opportunities, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver value, manage risk, and ensure supply continuity.
    • Build strong relationships across the business to align procurement strategies with operational requirements and business objectives.
  • Operational Management
    • Manage day-to-day sourcing activities by identifying procurement needs, engaging suppliers, evaluating sourcing opportunities, analysing spend data, maintaining procurement information, monitoring contract compliance, and ensuring the delivery of quality products and services at competitive costs.
    • Support supplier performance management and contribute to continuous procurement improvement initiatives.
  • Tender Management
    • Coordinate and administer tender processes, including preparing tender documentation, evaluating submissions, compiling analysis reports, communicating outcomes, and supporting contract implementation.
    • Ensure tender recommendations are commercially sound and aligned to business requirements.
  • Market and Forecasting
    • Conduct market, economic, and value-chain analysis to identify cost drivers, sourcing opportunities, and supply risks.
    • Monitor market trends, supplier pricing factors, and industry developments to provide data-based recommendations that strengthen sourcing strategies and negotiation outcomes.
  • Vendor Management
    • Support the selection, evaluation, and management of suppliers to ensure they meet business requirements.
    • Negotiate commercially beneficial agreements while balancing cost, quality, service, supply continuity, and risk.
    • Provide procurement guidance to stakeholders and promote adherence to sourcing policies.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Provide sourcing and category management support to internal stakeholders through best-practice guidance, knowledge sharing, and training.
    • Develop specialist category knowledge and apply market insights to support informed commercial decision-making.
  • SAP Enablement
    • Maintain accurate procurement-related master data within SAP and ensure new suppliers and catalogues are loaded and updated in a timely manner to support efficient procurement operations.
  • SHEQ and Sustainability Management
    • Support the SHEQ and Sustainability teams with supplier quality, compliance, and sustainability requirements, including coordinating supplier information, documentation, and audit-related inputs in line with organisational standards and governance requirements.
  • Team Coordination
    • Demonstrate accountability, effective planning, and strong self-management.
    • Contribute positively to team objectives, uphold company values, support continuous learning and development, maintain productive stakeholder relationships, and ensure adherence to company policies and legislative requirements.
