Programme Officier

Job Description Summary

At World Vision, we are passionate about working with children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. As a Programme Officer, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and monitoring of programs to ensure they are effective, efficient, and meet the needs of the communities we serve. This position requires a strong understanding of development principles, program management, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor programs according to World Vision's and donors' policies and procedures.
• Ensure programs are aligned with World Vision's strategic objectives and stakeholders' expectations.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with communities, local partners, and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and support to program staff.
• Analyze program data to inform decision-making and improve program effectiveness.
• Prepare and manage program budgets, reports, and other documents as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in program management, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
• Strong understanding of development principles, including community engagement, capacity building, and sustainability.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
