UTCL is located along the Kampala-Jinja highway near Lugazi Municipal Council in Buikwe District, approximately 48 kilometers from Kampala City and 40 Kilometers from Jinja, opposite Mt ST Mary’s College Namagunga.
Company Main Activities
The company mainly deals in the production of tea, where 80% of the sales are for the international market and 20% for the local market. Made Tea is exported to Mombasa in Kenya to the Auction market with other tea companies around
East Africa and sold thereafter. The company also deals with other activities which include afforestation, coffee, cocoa and Bananas. UTCL produces over 3.5 million kilos of tea annually, 10% of Uganda’s national output
Available Position: Security Supervisor
Job Summary
The Security Supervisor will oversee day-to-day activities of security guards, investigate security incidents, report risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe and secure environment. Supervise, schedule, and support security personnel to ensure effective team performance, conduct boundary inspections, report encroachments, and maintain secure company boundaries; maintain security records and reports, communicate management directives and perform duties as assigned by the Security Manager.
Qualifications
- ‘A’ level certificate with experience in a security role, preferably ex-soldier or ex police officer.
- Ability to enforce compliance and maintain discipline.
- At least two years’ experience in the same role, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
- Females are also encouraged to apply for the position.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and use of digital tools for monitoring.
