Job Purpose

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the systematic management of the warehouse and inventory. The role ensures the seamless receiving, storage, and issuance of goods while maintaining accurate records and an organized environment to support efficient stock management and operational flow.

1. Inventory Management and Control

• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of stock, ensuring all items are properly received, inspected, and documented upon arrival.
• Manage the issuance of goods, ensuring that all outgoing materials are authorized and accurately recorded to prevent loss.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with records to maintain high levels of data integrity.

2. Storage and Organization

• Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized storage facility to maximize space utilization and facilitate quick retrieval of items.
• Implement logical labeling and categorization systems to streamline the flow of movement within the store.
• Monitor storage conditions to ensure goods are protected from damage, theft, or environmental hazards.

3. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date inventory logs, requisition forms, and stock cards.
• Provide regular reports to the Operations Manager regarding stock levels, low-inventory alerts, and potential discrepancies.
• Ensure all paperwork related to the movement of goods is filed systematically for audit and tracking purposes.

4. Operational Support

• Coordinate closely with the Operations team to ensure materials are ready and available for scheduled projects or client requirements.
• Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete stock to optimize warehouse efficiency.
• Uphold safety and security protocols within the store area at all times.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Inventory Accuracy: Percentage variance between physical stock and system records (Target: <1%).
• Order Fulfillment: Rate of successful and timely issuance of goods as per requisitions.
• Store Organization: Cleanliness and logical arrangement scores based on monthly internal audits.
• Shrinkage Control: Total value of lost or unaccounted-for items (Target: Zero).
