Job Advert Summary:
To equip graduate mechanical engineers with practical experience in the maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of mechanical equipment used in cement manufacturing. The Graduate Trainee – Mechanical Engineering will support maintenance planning, equipment inspections, shutdown activities, and mechanical troubleshooting to improve plant availability and reliability.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Exposure to manufacturing, industrial attachment, internship, or final-year projects in heavy industry
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant equipment such as crushers, conveyors, fans, pumps, compressors, mills, kilns, gearboxes, and packing plant equipment. Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment reliability. Participate in shutdown planning, execution, and post-maintenance reviews. Work with senior engineers and maintenance teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions. Assist in monitoring vibration, wear, alignment, lubrication, and other equipment condition indicators. Support spare parts identification, maintenance record updates, and technical documentation. Contribute to plant improvement projects, equipment modifications, and energy-saving initiatives. Ensure compliance with mechanical safety procedures, lockout requirements, and site standards.
