Stock Controller

About the role:

Medirite Plus Carnival City is looking for a Stock Controller whose expertise translates into optimally maintained stock levels. The purpose of the role is to accurately accept deliveries of incoming goods and facilitate the smooth flow of goods to the trading store and back to the distribution center and suppliers. To be successful in the role of stock controller, you need to have in-depth expertise in inventory management and work experience in the retail industry.

What you'll do:

You will be required to :

• Accurately receiving goods by verifying deliveries against supplier invoices.
• Capture all goods received invoices on the system accurately and within the required timeframes.
• Ensure that delivered goods match invoiced quantities, variants, and quality standards.
• Process supplier returns in accordance with company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant storeroom environment.
• Assist with the management and control of high-risk stock.
• Identify and report stock, pricing, or delivery discrepancies to management.
• Return unordered, damaged, or incorrect goods to suppliers and accurately completing the relevant credit documentation in line with company policy and SOPs.
• Perform physically demanding duties, including lifting heavy boxes and offloading pallets.
• Support other departments and carrying out additional duties as required to meet operational needs.

What you bring:

• Qualification : Grade 12 (matric)
• Experience : At least 1+ years of relevant working experience within a retail/FMCG store operations environment in a similar role.
